We create imagery with true to life color, neutral black and whites and natural skin tones. Our clients are couples who consider their wedding photography one of the most important investments they'll budget for during their planning process. Couples who treasure wedding images that are not chasing photography trends. We have no interest in processing techniques that are the latest fad and will quickly be out of date. While we do certainly photograph the pretty details, we are constantly keeping our eyes on the organic moments going on around us and we believe the portraits are important too. We don't treat your special day like a fashion shoot or movie set. We believe in documenting your wedding day through an unobtrusive, relaxing and genuine approach letting the day unfold naturally. Throughout her 18 year editorial and wedding photography career, Sarma's work has been published in The Knot NY, The Knot NJ, Brides, Carats and Cake, New York Magazine, Time Out NY, Style Me Pretty, TIAA and T. Rowe Price. We enjoy giving back and donate our art and services to the American Cancer Society. Sarma also served as the photo editor of the PS29 school newspaper where she spent a few years inspiring and coaching 4th and 5th graders to tell a visual story through photographs to accompany the stories they were reporting on in their school paper.

A little bit about me personally- I live in Brooklyn with my husband (who is also a photographer, advertising and catalogue, not weddings) and our two boys. When my husband and I were married (19 years ago) we did not hire a wedding photographer (I know! we're both photographers, can you believe it?) I regret it. I have one photo framed but have no other photos to show our boys of us together with our family and friends celebrating our union that day in May. I am originally from Boston but no longer have a Boston accent after having lived in NYC since college. I like pronouncing the R in my name. My name is Latvian, in case you are wondering and I am first generation here in the U.S. I love to travel and wish I had more opportunity to do so. Happy to travel for work in case you are planning a destination wedding :) My family and I spend time off in the summer hiking in the Catskills and Hudson Valley. We learned to ski and snowboard this past winter. The Berkshires have some great skiing so we tried out new mountains there. I am an avid reader- if you have any suggestions for a must read book, please share. You'll find me every Monday morning sipping a soy latte on the way to my Soul Cycle class. That's a little bit about me for the time being- we'll get to know each other more throughout your planning process but I'll end with my favorite quote "Love is Love is Love".
